Enucleation & Evisceration

This is a commonly used method for reconstruction of anophthalmic socket, initially, after enucleation and later, migration or extrusion of an implant that’s existent. The orbital implants are done for the evaluation of the functional and aesthetic results or outcome, artificial eye fitting, satisfaction of the patient or motility, or evaluation of complications that are significant such as graft atrophy, haemorrhage or necrosis.  The benefits have seemly been restitution of orbital architecture, augmentation of conjunctival fornices and volume replacement.
